HELPING YOU UNDERSTAND SUICIDE AND SELF HARM
This training programme was developed by PIPS Upper Banns own Psychotherapist and aims to raise awareness of the risk factors for both suicide and self-harm behaviours among young people. To promote young people’s validity, vitality, sense of self-worth and general degree of happiness. It is broken into two sessions and can be delivered over one or two evenings.

CLIMBING OUT OF DEPRESSION
This is another training programmes that was developed by PIPS Upper Banns own Psychotherapist. It aims to support the improvement of mental health in our community, specifically around depression. The course is held over two evenings and targets adults of all ages and encompasses cognitive behavioural techniques.
-Look at what depression is and what it isn’t
-Explore origins of depression
-Teach participants about diagnosis of depression
-Educate participants in completion of a depression measurement scale
-Look at how the models work
-Homework case study to review
-Review learning and homework
-CBT treatment plan in relation to case study
-Evaluation of risk and tools to use to do this
-Keys to happiness
To challenge stigma. By raising awareness we will make it easier to SPEAK openly about suicide
To provide community wide and workforce development training , in order to increase the numbers of people with the skills education knowledge and confidence to help someone at risk .
